3 Actions That Make a Difference
By Ron | August 1, 2008
It took me a long time to understand that profound changes come in little steps. I always wanted to grandstand. I always wanted to change the world in a big way. I finally realized that throwing that small pebble in the pond can cause major ripples. That’s when I tried doing a few small positive things each day no matter what was going on. Here is an example of what would be on my To Do List for the day…
1. Help shape the culture - go recognize someone for living up to one of the company’s values.
2. Recommend a salary increase to a manager for her employee who is doing a great job.
3. Send an email of appreciation to an employee with a cc to his boss.
My To List was usually a long one, but I always tried to accomplish these items.
