Avoiding Discrimination Problems

The other day, I realized that I have never had a formal discrimination suit during my career.  I never had a major issue with a government auditor.  Yes, I prepared and administered Affirmative Action Plans.  Yes, I had been instrumental in ensuring that my companies provided equal opportunity for all.  Yes, I used creative outreach techniques.  Yes, provided the cognizant management training.

But, most of all, I helped managers see the positive aspects of treating all people with dignity and respect.  I didn’t use scare tactics – I provided them with sound business reasons for them to make the right people decisions.
