The Machinist Union at the Boeing plant in South Carolina was dumped.
You don’t see headlines like this every day, do you?
The local community is estatic. The employees at the plant are excited. Why?
Because, there is a good chance that Boeing will now assemble its new 787 Dreamliner there.
When Dennis Murphy, a quality inspector, filed the decertification petition, he exclaimed, “Anything we can do to make ourselves attractive would be helpful.”
Wow. Here is an employee who understands how its done. Why can’t states understand it like Dennis – making themselves “attractive” so that companies will relocate their operations there? My home state of California seems to be doing the opposite for the last couple of decades – businesses are discouraged from staying here!
Dennis, can you come to California and counsel Arnold?
